As a mom of two young kids, I often found myself searching for a resource that shared practical, inspiring information about local outdoor adventures. I was looking for quick and simple descriptions along with photos so I could spend less time researching and more time venturing.

That’s how Ventured North was started: out of a desire to create the kind of guide I was looking for.

Whenever we have free time, my favorite way to spend it is outside- exploring new trails with my family and camera, and supporting small businesses along the way. My hope is to inspire other others to discover new places, slow down, and enjoy time spent together outside.
